Paolo Nutini - Iron Sky

I love the composition of this video because it is a fairly new song, released in 2014, yet it was shot and edited using techniques such as slow zooms, cross dissolves and the mise-en-scene fitting for an 80's recording studio to produce the aesthetic of an older production. It conforms to the Goodwin Theory of genre characteristics as indie rock artists usually compose performance videos, however unlike other rock videos, the use of slow dissolve transitions slowed the pace of the video and paired with the multiple close-ups of the singer from different angles the audience is positioned to focus more on the lyrics rather than the performance.
