Generating an Artist Name

We started with a name game to get our creative juices flowing, first, we wrote a random verb at the top of the sheet then we folded it over to conceal what we've written before passing it onto the person next to us and so on:

1. Random verb
2. Random noun
3. adjective
4. verb
5. noun
6. noun

Then we used the combination of the words that we got to think of names we could use, here is what we came up with:
'the funky eye'  'giant fingernails'   'fire and ice'
'the giant eye'   ' working fire'  etc.

All the names we generated seemed to be to be really quirky and weird, which is not exactly the kind of name we were looking for. We looked at other artists in the pop genre to analyse the conventions in the names for the artists: 

From this observations we noticed that most of the artists in the genre either use their name as their stage name or they create a single memorable name that acts as a hook, for example Beyonce and Drake. In line with this discovery we though that we would conform to the conventions of the genre and think of a name that was both a singular and memorable. Using a name was out of question because we thought that the excess syllables would be too much of a mouthful for audiences, like Lianne La Haves or Jorja Smith instead we want something simple with preferably one syllable.
