Film Opening vs Music Video

Now that we have finished filming and editing our 28 second music video for our preliminary task, the realisation has set in that we are going to be spending a lot more time and energy to produce our music video than we did for our film opening. From filming our music video and analysing others I have noticed that there are a lot more shots involved in the production compared to that of a movie opening. This meant that we found ourselves focusing on getting a variety of unique shots from different angles, capturing the movement of an artists using different camera movements as well as framing locations perfectly. All these different techniques were very time consuming and required a lot of attempts to get just right, contrary to the basic camera movements and and angles used in our opening. Editing the shots together was not as tedious as the movie openings because there wasn't as much match on action however syncing up the song to the video took some time because it had to be perfect to look as realistic as possible. Unlike the movie opening which had we could just drop the non-diegetic music over the visuals. Overall they were two very different experiences that required us to exercise diverse skills; hopefully we will be able to combine our skills from the tow areas to create and awesome music video!

Rizzle Kicks - Preliminary Task

This is our final product!! We tried our best to mimic the video as much as possible, unfortunately, we forgot to change the fact that our edit is a second behind the original, so please forgive us. Enjoy!!!!!!
